What is WiFi?
WiFi stands for Wireless Fidelity (according to some sources, while others argue WiFi is simply a trademarked phrase). A wireless networking technology that uses radio waves to provide connectivity between computers and devices in certain areas called a hotspots or Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). WiFi emits frequencies (2.4GHz and 5GHz), which are compatible with most computers and mobile devices.
